Cambridge Innovation Institute and the Bio-IT World Conference & Expo planning committee invite nominations for the Bio-IT World 2026 Emerging Innovator Award. This award honors an exceptional early-career researcher advancing biomedical discovery through data, computation, and technology-enabled innovation.
The selected Emerging Innovator will deliver a featured 10-minute plenary keynote at Bio-IT World 2026 on Thursday, May 21, highlighting the impact and future direction of their work before a global audience of scientific, industry, and investment leaders.
Eligibility
Nominees must be graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, or early-career professionals (within five years of completing training) who are actively advancing innovation in biomedical research, AI/ML, bioinformatics, computational biology, precision medicine, or related data-driven disciplines. Candidates should demonstrate originality, measurable impact, and strong communication skills, with a peer-reviewed paper, abstract, preprint, or accepted conference presentation within the past year.

How to Nominate
Submit a nomination including the candidate’s name and affiliation, a brief description of the innovation and its impact, a link to a relevant publication or project, and a short statement explaining why the nominee exemplifies the Emerging Innovator Award.
